Rant about NHS dental cleaning waits, is anyone else stuck with 6-month delays?

I finally got to clean my teeth at the local NHS dentist I registered with, only to be told they are fully booked until June. I mean, really? For a routine 6-month check-up and clean? I've paid the annual fee and I'm just waiting. I know private is instant, but I can't afford £150+ for something that should be covered. Feeling a bit frustrated about the system sometimes.

Same here. I ended up paying for a private clean because I had an infection risk, but it's not sustainable. NHS capacity is just tight right now.

Try calling a few different practices. Some of the private-GP hybrids still take NHS patients for routine stuff if they aren't full.

Just wait. If it's an emergency, go to A&E, but they'll just send you back. It's a bit of a catch-22 this semester.
