Does anyone know a good optician in the city centre that uses NHS vouchers?

I need new glasses and my old ones are breaking. I have an NHS sight test voucher, but I'm not sure which shops accept them or if they add extra fees for processing. I tried one on Renfield Street and they seemed pushy about their premium frames. Just want a standard pair, nothing fancy. Also, how long does the order usually take? I need them before the spring term starts for lectures.

Spectaclemasters on Sauchiehall St were okay, but the wait was about two weeks. Make sure they scan your voucher properly on the spot.

Avoid the high street chains if you want speed. A smaller independent one in the West End might be quicker? Just my opinion, though.

I used one near the library, they were quick but the price for lenses was on the higher end. Negotiate, sometimes they have sales.
